Why join the San Pedro Knights?

The goal of the San Pedro Knights youth basketball organization is to build individual basketball skills, accomplish individual youth athletic goals around basketball, instill the competitive desire to compete at the highest levels, and build quality young adults for the community. The driving principles are built around:

  • Passion for the sport

  • Individual Commitment

  • Sportsmanship

  • Leadership

  • Scholastics

This is accomplished through rigorous practices, challenging players to always work hard to build individual basketball skills, coaching fundamentals and team skills into age groups from 3rd grade through 8th grade, both boys and girls teams. We will not sacrifice our ideals just to win. The value of team athletics for our youth today is a key building foundation for future life challenges that will benefit all individuals that participate in the San Pedro Knights youth basketball program.

Why not join the oldest and largest traveling basketball club in California and the South Bay? We have a tradition of training youth athletes in excellent basketball skills. We annually elevate the middle school boys and girls to variety high school varsity squads across California. The program works with several of the local high school varsity basketball programs to provide insight to players to what will be required when they get to the high school level Several of the alumni have gone on to play at a variety of collages on scholarship around the country.

Indeed, the Knights are looking for players who are looking to improve their skills through hard work, focus on their academic work and to learn and play against the elite players and teams across Southern California regularly. Our teams play monthly in elite tournaments around Southern California and travel out of state at least twice a year. In addition, we offer a variety of physical conditioning with a custom Plyometics conditioning coach along with a variety of community values as part of the Knights family.

The Knights also have academic eligibility requirements for all players and conduct regular grade checks. We believe that it is as important to provide a high level of basketball training but to have all players understand the importance of grades at school. We believe an "A" grade with an "U/N" citizenship mark will probably result in loss of game eligibility, a mutually agreed to improvement plan and a mutually agreed upon improvement plan with the player, parent and coaches to again participate in games. Either way, it is important the responsibility for good academics and commitment to basketball goals is the most important part of being a part of the San Pedro Knights organization.

We believe that we focus on more then basketball. We focus to grow the youth that participate with us in growing and accepting responsibility for their growth as citizens. That is why the San Pedro Knights program has very large alumni that have generations of their children going through our program. Maybe it is time for you to have your young athletes begin this journey with us.

I look forward to and invite everyone with serious basketball ambitions to investigate the possibilities of becoming a Knight.
