Will the Thrill and the Great Plyometrics Caper!

This past Sunday at Torrance Beach will go down in Knights history as the official beginning of the Will the Thrill era of ooohs and aaahs!

As a 2nd, soon-to-be 3rd grader, Will shows remarkable heart, endurance, and work ethic by insisting to be included with all of our other famed plyo-Knights on the sands of the beach in Torrance.

As a 2nd grader, he shows what incredible coordination he has for one so young and so tall.

With fellow youngster and teammate, JYD Nate Dogg, these two boys know where it is they are going and how quickly they are going to get there.

PlyoKnights of the world Unite!

Where The Thrill really wowed us, however, was at the Aqua-Workout portion of the afternoon.

The boys were told to sprint into the waves as if there were nothing there but flat ground until they were told to return.

All went well until that magical moment when a great athlete makes us all blink with wonderment.

Will the Thrill sped off for the waves like a Ferrari Testarossa power shifting onto the freeway on-ramp of the 405.

Oh no! Wait Will! Oh, what bad luck!

As the Thrill was reaching the shoreline, a huge wave suddenly rose up in front of him.

It looked as if the Thriller would be slammed to the sand like a wrestler in Smackdown onto the canvass!

What did our brave plyo-Knight do?

HE LEPT OVER THE WAVE!

OH!

MY!

GOODNESS!

Improvisation is the key to Knighthood and Will has shown the ability to do that. Boy, did he show that!

Can you all imagine what The Thriller will do once he gets his coordination?

Let's get that open chapter ready in the Book of Knights and prepare to fill it with new stories of historic feats and glories...all with the name of Will the Thrill.

I am so happy to report also that the newest plyo-Knights have survived their first few weeks and are on their way to greatness.

Learn their names now because once the pain is subsides, these guys will begin to fly around the court like the Knights supermen that came before them.

Congrats Austin. Boys 6th

Congrats Evan. Boys 6th

Congrats Lleyton Boys 7th

Congrats Matthew O. Boys 6th

Congrats Michael O. Boys 4th

I look for some great things in the VERY near future from you guys.

Cheers! Cheers! Cheers! for our fearless Knights Dads who will represent us all in an epic battle against the evil forces of SGV on the battleground of THEIR choosing.

Yes, on September 16, 2008; the historic First Knights of the Golf Ball will venture out to Rio Hondo Golf Course and battle the Dads from SGV at the prestigious 5th Annual SGV Golf Tournament.

Captain SpinDog Billings and First Mate, TooTall Yule are assembling the Dads team now.

NEVER has an outsider from beyond SGV taken the title.

NEVER has their field included Knights.

Something must give here.

The King is Dead!

Long live the King!

I don't have the entire list yet, but rumour has it that some of the brave souls ready to put it all on the line for our honor are none other than those famous Knights Dads we all know and love:

Mike Farman
Chris Ball
Tony Giordano
Matt Cua
John Petersen
Guy Candido
Tory Hazard
Ed Billings
John Yule

What a team!

Let's all try to get down there on that Tuesday and support these guys.

I know that those Dads from SGV are going to have one big surprise when these Bad Boyz from SPK win the HUGE 1st Annual SPK/SGV Challenge Cup perpetual trophy!

Thanks for doing this guys!

Did you know that there will be a YOUTH GOLF TOURNAMENT next March in Palm Springs on the Friday before the DUEL IN THE DESERT begins?

All b-ball players from any team entering the basketball tournament will be invited to participate.

Carrying our banner into that fray will be none other than Dino Billings, First Captain of Golf for the Knights new youth golf team.

All will be told to get their homework done a month in advance with extra credit so they can miss their day in school for a day in the sun.

Did you know that the Knights Golf Club is ready to begin?

Give the SpinDog or TooTall a call and get your son/daughter ready.

Did you know that directly following THAT encounter, on the same course, on the same day, will be an ADULT GOLF TOURNAMENT.

Last year's edition of the Knights First Annual PLAYING IN PAIN IN THE INSANE HURRICANE tournament sponsored by the SpinDog and TooTall will once again be resurrected on the same course.

This time, though, the SpinDog's tournament is famous.

There are already over 100 golfers chomping on the bit to play and the Dogg will probably be turning them away before it is all over.

SGV themselves have already committed golfers to play in the SpinDog's Palm Spring Invitational.

See you there!
