Myckala Bednorz Memorial Award

Dear Coach Bob,

I was given an award for making honor roll for the third trimester, and for making honor roll for all three trimesters in a row. The school surprisingly announced that for the first time this year they were introducing the Myckala Bednorz Memorial Award. As you know Myckala Bednorz was my classmate who suddenly past away this year. Her parents wanted to give this award in her memory to a sixth grade student who best reflected her values of kindness and promoting class unity.

The honor roll awards were given to me as a result of my hard work, however the one award I would have never expected to get was the Myckala Bednorz Memorial Award. To get this award you have to excel in school, participate in school sports or activities, be involved in extra curricular activities, have Christian values, and most importantly be kind. I didn’t know I had all these qualities. I am very honored to receive this award and will work hard to represent what it stands for.

I also want to thank you for taking the time to work with me and help me develop into a better person and a better basketball player. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
